Courtney King is a Western grad with an M.S. in Ecology and currently coordinates the EMPLOYS program. She holds a B.S. in Biology from SUNY Geneseo, where she became drawn to the field of wildlife biology. She also plays a role in the Taylor Park Adaptive Management Group, and is excited to spend as much time as she can in the field this summer. Her academic, writing, and personal interests find confluence in the areas of biological research, public lands management, recreation ecology, and environmental stewardship.
When she’s not in the office or the field, you can often find Courtney slinging ‘zas at High Alpine. She prefers her outdoor activities on the slower side, including backpacking, swimming, and hammocking with a good book in hand. A rambler in all respects, she apologizes to Brian and anyone else editing her work for her difficulties in wrapping up sentences to entire articles. As a once (and future?) government employee, she must make it clear that any opinions she expresses in writing are completely her own.
