But I’ve never met a human

as you.
Everyone knows
the story of how you fought
to keep your life.
But the story
didn’t end there.
You not only survived,
but you thrived,
despite the obstacles you faced.
People came
from all around the globe
just to visit with you.
Sweet little dolphin,
you helped amputees,
veterans,
and people with disabilities.
You showed the world
what it means
to overcome.
